Porcelains are a man-made vitrified ceramic material manufactured by heating materials, generally including kaolin, in a kiln to temperatures ranging between 1,200 and 1,400 °C (2,200 and 2,600 °F).
The toughness and strength, combined with frost resistance and an infinite variety of designs and finishes make this an ideal material for paving and flooring, and has become a popular alternative to stone owing to its robust and ease of maintenance properties. Due to their consistency in unit size and strength, they are an ideal product for pedestal installation among many others.
